Who do I speak with regarding results of my lab tests performed by Collaborative Laboratory Services (CLS)?

CLS encourages all patients to communicate directly with the ordering provider to best understand laboratory test results in conjunction with medical history and examination.

How long does it take to receive my test results?

Depending on the specific test ordered,  results may be ready in as little as a few hours or less. Certain tests may take several days or more. All results are sent to the ordering provider who may contact you when they are reviewed.

Can I receive a copy of my test results?

Recent changes in federal law now allow patients to receive test results directly from the laboratory. Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center can now provide free direct online access to portions of your medical record using MyCare.  Laboratory test results are available as soon as they are finalized by the performing laboratory.

Can I request my own lab tests?

No.  Only authorized providers (physicians,dentists, APRNs PAs) may order laboratory tests. If you are interested in a particular lab test we suggest you discuss the specifics with your provider who can determine and explain the value and appropriate use of any tests.

My doctor ordered a lab test for me, but does not collect in the office how do I locate a patient service center?

A current and accurate list of all CLS patient service centers is available on this site.

 

for a full listing or call our Client services department at 860-714-6103 option 2.  No appointment is necessary but we encourage you to call the centers for approximate wait times and amended schedules.   Additional PSCs are anticipated in the Farmington and Bolton areas soon.

Do I need to make an appointment to have my blood drawn?

No. All CLS patient service centers are walk-in centers. We do not take appointments but we encourage you to call for approximate wait times and amended schedules due to inclement weather.

Do I need to fast before having my blood drawn?

Some blood tests require you to fast prior to being drawn, if you have a question about fasting prior to having blood work, please contact your physician.

Can I view my results online?

What types of testing does Collaborative Laboratory Services perform?

CLS is a full service hospital based laboratory that serves the local outpatient community, acts as a reference laboratory for other hospital labs.  CLS maintains an ongoing relationship with Mayo Medical Laboratories as a primary global reference laboratory operating within Mayo Clinic’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Rochester MN.
